Vitrification Cryotop®

Kitazato is globally recognised as one of the pioneering brands in driving and improving vitrification. Its greatest contribution in this field has been the development of the renowned Cryotop® Method, the global leader in vitrification of oocytes and embryos, in all stages of development.

Cryotop vitrification

After over a decade on the market, the Cryotop® Method has been applied in over 1,500,000 clinical cases in over 90 countries and 2,200 assisted reproduction centres. Hundreds of scientific publications certify their excellent results.

The Cryotop® Method is available in 2 versions: vitrification in an open system and a closed system

  • Cryotop® – Open System.

The original device, globally renowned for its unparalleled Cooling and Warming Rates and its very high survival rates.

  • Cryotop® SC – Closed System.

The same results and the same protocol with a new sealing for achieving vitrification without direct contact of the specimen with the liquid nitrogen.

Kitazato also has ovarian tissue vitrification devices. Cancer patients who require chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, and patients with premature menopause can now preserve their fertility with guarantees.

Our products

CRYOTOP® Open System

Achieve the highest survival rates on the market with the Cryotop® Method, the global leader in vitrification of oocytes and embryos in all stages of development.

CRYOTOP® Closed System

Cryotop® SC continues to obtain the same excellent results as its Open System version. Once again Kitazato offers the best survival rates thanks to its unparalleled Cooling and Warming rates: -3000ºC/minute and 42000ºC/minute respectively.

Vitrification Warming Media

Kitazato media are the most versatile option for cryopreservation in your laboratory. Reduce your costs by using the same media for vitrification and warming of oocytes and embryos, in all their stages of development, from Pronucleus to Blastocyst.

Ovarian Tissue Vitrification

Kitazato is also a pioneering brand in ovarian tissue vitrification. In 2011 the first fertilisation was achieved in Japan after a transplant of vitrified and devitrified ovarian tissue using a device and media developed by Kitazato.
